About the Artist

Born in Guernsey Channel Islands in 1938 Paul Bisson studied at the St. Martin's School of Art from 1955-1958 and then at the Royal Academy School from 1959-1961. After completing his studies in the early sixties Bisson worked and exhibited in Spain. In this period he mainly worked in oils of landscapes and nude figures. In the early seventies he was again back in London where he worked on a highly successful major series of drawings and watercolours of derelict shop fronts and urban decay. Bisson now lives and works in Hastings East Sussex and for the last eight years has been dedicating much of his time to the making of etchings mainly of landscape subjects. He has gained an international reputation for these graphics which are in private and corporate collections throughout the world including Mobil Oil Rank Zerox and Chemical Bank USA. Since 1964 he has participated in numerous exhibitions in the UK West Germany Norway Spain and Canada and also shown at Basel and New York Art Fairs.
