Renee Halpern Poland , b. 1914

Born in Warsaw in 1914, Renée Halpern went to Paris at 18. There she befriended Soutine and Albert Marquet in Montparnasse. She exhibited her paintings in Paris, New York and Israel in 1968. Renée Halpern worked as an abstract painter for a short while and later produced figurative works.
