Graduating in 1993 with a Visual Arts Degree from De Montfort University and Rotterdam Art Academy.

Kathryn now paints full time from her hometown of Brighton. Kathryn draws her inspiration from the sea and coastline in particular the South Coast of England and St Ives in Cornwall.

Working mainly in oils, Kathryn applies generous amounts of paint to create her vibrant canvases. Using a bright palette, Kathryn simplifies shapes and objects to produce stunning compositions. In her paintings of Cuba, Kathryn tries to capture the magic of this Caribbean Isle which on his arrival in 1492 Columbus declared the most beautiful land that human eyes had ever seen.

This series of paintings aim to convey a flavour of the small coastal town of Baracoa with its lush vegetation clapboard houses and the tobacco plantations of Pinar del Rio and Vinales.

Kathryn has exhibited her work regularly over the years in the UK and Holland. Her paintings are constantly on show in Galleries in London Cornwall and the South Coast.
